Being a mom can be an extremely overwhelming and stressful job at times. It is important that throughout the craziness you take some time to care for yourself. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to do so either! Here are some of the best self-care tips for busy moms that will have you feeling better than ever.
Make Time To See Your Friends
This might be hard because the reality is you’re probably all stressed-out moms; however, it needs to be prioritized. Spending time with your friends not only helps you relax, but it will allow you to have fun and enjoy yourself too. There is something so therapeutic about a good, genuine laugh session with your friends!
Take a Hot Bath and Relax
It might be difficult to get some alone time in the bathroom, but when you do get those fifteen minutes of quiet, it is always a good idea to take a hot bath. Not only will this help your mental health, but it can help your physical health too. For example, add some honey to your bath—your skin will be more hydrated than ever before. You will feel like a new version of yourself when you dry off and put your pajamas on.
Give your Brain a Boost
You may think, “No way! My brain needs a break.” However, sometimes writing in a journal, coloring, meditating, or just reading a good book can boost your brain, as well as, make you feel more relaxed. Try it and let me know what you think!
Get Active and Exercise
Some people really benefit from going on a run or exercising in general. It allows them to clear their mind and help their body. If this is the case for you, make sure you add this into your busy mom schedule. There shouldn’t be any reason that you can’t give yourself 20 minutes a day to get your exercise in, so prioritize it.
Get Silly
Being silly is easy by dancing in your living room with or without the kids, singing along to your favorite music, or going to see a comedy show. Which ever you choose enjoy and laugh. I tend to enjoy driving in the county to old time favorite songs on the radio and singing with the window down. I feel so revived afterwards.
The greatest part of all these amazing self-care tips for busy moms is that they’re basically free. You really can benefit from a good laugh with friends, a hot bath, laughing, etc. Just please make sure to prioritize yourself and your own self-care. It is important!
Sincerely,
