Parenting begins at conception as this when you start planning with a little one by your side. At delivery is when you are taking on another roll and put someone else's needs before your own. Raising a child never ends. Some may say it stops when they turn 18, but it is really a lifetime commitment.
Every child is special in their own unique way and with a nurturing family, you can succeed in today's world. However, if you don't have family nearby like we don't you can make it through with some amazing neighbors. I honestly can say without our neighbors it would have been a lot rougher.
