Per the calendar, winter starts on December 21st, 2019. Often several different states and countries have already experienced some form of winter weather months prior. With that said you probably have your jeans, boots, jackets, scarves and more accessible for whatever mother nature or your child throws at you so here is a mix of what fashion week has said for this year with a mom winter mix to it.
Trend-Setting for Winter 2019
The latest designs from fashion week this year have already started hitting the streets. These new styles and fashion predictions are likely to provide some inspiration while updating your wardrobe to stay ahead of the trends.
What you will see this Winter 2019 and how to get some in your closet now.
Androgynous Style
To achieve this look, opt for loose-fitting clothes, such as oversized suits, denim jackets, and men’s shirts. Dark colors have an instant unisex flair, but feel free to introduce bold shades into the mix.
Androgyny is all about flexibility, rebellion and keeping it sleek. So feel good about yourself when you put on that oversized dark colored plaid shirt with some jeans and a denim jacket. All while being comfortable and being able to tackle your to-do list in style.
Personalized Hair Pins
Keep your hair in place and express yourself at the same time with the help of a personalized hairpin. Sparkling, daring and intriguing, these hair accessories will turn every head you walk by.
Choose to empower yourself, spread awareness or even just wear your name; there is also no limit to how you can style these. Whether you choose to identify yourself as a boss, feminist or a star, these jewels will keep you looking stylish and sleek. You can even wear more than one and rock an entire sentence on your locks!
Headwraps Hair Bows
They can turn any outfit into something a bit preppy and hold your hair out of your face while you mom-on!
I definitely had to order myself some. They will make it so much easier to keep my hair off my neck too when running or cleaning to get everything ready for guests.
Dressy Trousers
I definitely have a hard time wearing dresses with my boys. I have to be ready to run at a moment’s notice. I end up wearing trousers (dress pants) that are dressy and comfortable at the same time all while still making a great fashion statement.
You can wear them with a nice dress shirt and small heals to pull the whole outfit together. This outfit even makes for a nice dinner date out with your significant other.
Tonal Dressing
Keep it simple and streamlined with tonal colors. It doesn’t need to be all black to look super sleek; you can take things up a notch by wearing all pastels, all neon or all metallic. A continual color combination in your outfit creates unity and will make you look like a piece of walking art.
In Conclusion
These 5 current trends are set to be my go-to style this winter. I have chosen to NOT include some others as they were either 1) expensive, 2) not modest/classy, 3) not conducive to mom life! In order to qualify for my winter style, it must be affordable, comfortable, and be able to withstand looking fashionable even if I just roll out of bed and throw something on.
What is your go-to winter style for this year?
Sincerely,
