Both my boys have currently outgrown there cribs and are now sleeping in twin size beds. I have kept their cribs, but we have decided no more children. You may wonder what you can do with an old crib? I have decided to share how I created a photo board using the crib mattress spring and listed more ideas for you below.

For us creating something with it seemed like the best thing since the crib was made of solid wood and metal. It would give it a rustic look that I tend to have around my house. My husband kept telling me we needed to put more on the walls, so I took the metal spring from the crib and went to work.

**There are some laws if you are going to donate them, so if that is the avenue you want to go, you will have to do some research first.**

I went to Wal-mart.com photo and uploaded the pictures that I wanted to print in black and white. It was so reasonable for 25 photos. Then I went to Amazon.com to order the mini white clothespins needed to attach the pictures too. I love Amazon Prime because my clothes pins were here in two days.

Once I had everything, it was time to put it all together, and I could not be more happy with the results. Also, the whole project cost around $20, because I already had the metal crib spring. What do you think?

For now, my son still takes naps in his convertible crib downstairs in my bedroom, but these are phenomenal ideas of what to do when he no longer uses it this way. I love the ideas of using it for storage of pots and pans and as a toy chest.
