Everyone’s lives have been turned upside down because of the pandemic. For example, many schools have announced that they’re doing e-learning until circumstances change. This means your kiddos will be stuck at home for an even longer time, and you must figure out a way to keep them busy. If you don’t want your youngsters to have too much screen time, read these tips for keeping your kids entertained without technology.

Craft

You should try your hardest to view this time at home as an opportunity to build a better relationship with your children. Kids who spend more time with their parents develop a stronger sense of self-worth and value. Thus, consider doing kids crafts that are fun for the whole family so that everyone can bond. Not much stimulation occurs while watching television. Crafting, on the other hand, forces little ones to be creative and helps them develop fine motor skills. Plus, everyone can hang their DIY creations on the fridge when they’re done.

Reading

Reading is the perfect at-home activity to do with your kiddos this fall. No matter what age they are, reading helps children expand their vocabulary. You’ll all have a blast sounding out new words and trying to figure out what they mean together. Books also help your mini-mes use their imagination. Thinking outside the box is more important than ever right now because every day is the same. Therefore, things may feel less repetitive when your child dives into a creative story.

Break a Sweat

Another tip for keeping your kids entertained without technology is to get moving. Many people are guilty of becoming couch potatoes due to the pandemic. Please, try your hardest not to let this be the case for your family. Children should receive at least sixty minutes of exercise every day. It’d be helpful if you tried to make the routine fun so that your youngsters are more willing to participate. Dance parties are a fun way to break a sweat, and a scavenger hunt will get the kiddos moving and using their minds.
